Another confirmation that things seem to be working OK now for children with GE via NEXUS... We cleared US immigration/customs @ YYZ on Dec 30, and both of my kids got a receipt with the X (as expected and desired as they both are two young to have biometrics taken). Super happy that this is working properly now. Next time I won't bother filling out a backup blue form just in case.
On an unrelated note, I had to try at least 5 different GE machines at YYZ before I could fine one that would read any of our passports. Saw lots of other people doing the same thing - moving from machine to machine. No errors were displayed, just didn't do anything when the passport was placed on the scanner. I don't recall having similar issues in other locations, maybe I've just been lucky.
