I doubt they offered you Aviator Blue for permanent no AF. According to the original information from Barclay about the Aviator cards, Aviator Blue has a $49 AF, it's the Aviator with no color mention that has the $0 AF. Here's a site that compares the 4 "flavors" of the Barclay Aviator cards:

So far, no one here seems to have been offered the Blue card. Everyone seems to getting offered either a waived AF and stay with Red, no AF but downgrade to "no-color" Aviator, or neither.
It's confusing to sort out what the real story on the Blue card is since all the info about it seems to be based on a press release from circa spring 2015, so I wonder if sometime after this press release was issued something changed at Barclays (which wasn't publicly disclosed) regarding the Blue card?
