I think we are talking about different things. Last year, in October there was a promo - 'up to 58K bonus miles with new citigold relationship'. That was a poster hanging out at Holland Village branch.

When I went to check the details, the poster was gone but I was told that it is cash bonus given instead. Which according to my calculations was 2-3x worse in dollar terms comparing to miles offer.
