Thanks, SD1K. I love all sorts of Arabic and Middle Eastern dishes and all sorts of sweets (not least AA's ice cream sundaes). But I'm afraid Arabic sweets are not on my list.

But, FWIW, I found your recent post on the hotel very useful. Any other recommendations re the hotel or the area are most welcome, though I realize your stay was short.
