I saw that thread and was hoping someone might have something more recent to add as I think the high end hotel options might have increased since that time....the Ritz Carlton Abama looks pretty good for example but i'd love to hear from anyone who has stayed! Some of the older 5* properties look tired to me, but might be hidden gems!
