Look at this thread. How many positive impressions of the hotel are posted here? I have no idea of most posters' (socio)economic status, and neither does the PHNY.
I agree with you, I'm just saying that is what the hotel felt like to me. And this FT post is loaded with freebie certificates being used and P+C reservations and then these people rant about how they would never pay the $700+ per night to stay here based on the cool level of service.

My point is that the PHNY is not catering to the coupon cutters but also agree that these could be wealthy loyal Hyatt customers also. It just felt to me that due to the location of this hotel and its ambiance that they know who their big buck clients are, and its not the FT points collecting crowd showing up and expecting the fawning service they got similar to their Asia PH experience.
