Maybe, but that's a tough strategy. The wealthiest people I know (and I'm definitely not one of them) are really inconspicuous. As far as I'm concerned, a paying guest (using whatever instrument) should be treated as well as any other. Otherwise, you never know who you've pissed off and who isn't coming back. I'm not in the hospitality business, but in my industry, you'd lose the wrong kind of client doing it.
Look at this thread. How many positive impressions of the hotel are posted here? I have no idea of most posters' (socio)economic status, and neither does the PHNY.
