Is pillow theft a common occurrence???
She was a rude and selfish lady, but not a thief unless you are aware that she intended to take the pillow off the plane and keep it.
Incidentally, I do agree with others that one pillow is not enough for me to get comfortable, but the way I handle it, which just seems like common sense to me is that after the meal is over and I fancy sleeping, I just ask a crew member if by chance there is any spare pillow. I find the urge of Mrs 10D to "put her hands on it" before boarding is even complete rather rude and inconsiderate.
