In March, my wife and I are flying home to LAX from BCN. The award itinerary we have now is BCN-LHR in regional business class, then LHR-IAD in F in the A380. The IAD-LAX in AA business-first. An alternative would be to fly LHR-PHX in F with a 747. This would shorten the domestic segment and extend our flight in F.

I read Onemileatatime's reviews for BA F in the A380 as well as the 747, and I've seen the layout on seatguru. A380 really does seem to have a superior hard product. On the other hand, the 747 is a lot better than AA business first. Which route would you take?
