3K was my favorite seat when the 787-8 flew to Austin. But the best seat depends a bit on what you like.

Here are some things to consider:
  • E seats are the roomiest and quite private. 3E and 7E have direct aisle access (no one to step over).
  • 3A, 3K, 7A and 7K are the only window seats which have direct aisle access (no one to step over).
  • The K seats are the best window seats if you sleep on your left side as there is slightly more space for your knees on the window side (which is on your left when facing backwards).
  • The A seats are the best window seats if you sleep on your right hand side.
  • Rows 1-3 are a left turn on entry - best choice if you don't want lots of people queuing past you during boarding. Furthest from WTP bassinet. I was once moved from row 7 to row 2 due to a screaming baby in WTP on a flight where CW was less than half full.
  • Rows 6-7 are a right turn on entry - best choice if you want to sit there smugly whilst the WTP and WT passengers say their soundbites, eg "This is how the other half live" or "Wouldn't it be nice to sit here" or "Kid: wow; Parents: Don't get excited, I don't think our seats will be like this". (I've heard each of these at least twice).

Hope this helps
