OK, so I responded to a recent offer from Ramada Plaza Resorts offering 3-day 2-night for free at their Ft. Lauderdale, FL property. I checked out the website (www.ramadadreams.com) and obviously the pictures look pretty. Then I stumbled across a Travel Review websites (www.tripadvisor.com) and found a mixed bag of comments...ranging from hating the room, black bugs crawling in the bathroom, the narrow dim hallways, the musty smell to giving two-thumbs up for the room and staff. I know Ramada isn't exactly Marriott/Westin but from what I've experienced in other Ramada, they have been 'okay', if not the best.

Now since I trust FT-ers more than these once-a-year picky vacationers , I'd like to hear if anyone has any good/bad things to say about this offer; or if you've ever stayed at this facility in the past. I am not aware if there is a time-share presentation (I don't believe the resort offers a vac ownership program anyway) plus they should've disclosed this in the beginning anyway.

FWIW my trip will be for end of July and I'm just going to stay for two nights and that's it.
