I just checked the BA app, and noticed that BA had cancelled my booking. I called up BAEC, was told that the minimum connection time was not met. I found that strange since I booked it directly through BAs website? But I was more upset that I received no notification of the cancellation.

Anyway, the agent indicated that she would try to re-accommodate me and said I could take an earlier departure which would meet MCT, but that unfortunately Z class was not available. I started to get my aggressive posture started but before I could fly off the handle, she indicated that it was open in A class and she would rebook me in A. I was certainly pleased with the outcome, and the longer connection will allow more time to relax in the CCR before the next flight.

Once the ticket was re-issued it allowed me to update my profile and I put in my AA Advantage number. My question is, since I am now booked in a revenue class, will I receive miles from AA on this ticket?

I'm normally a UA flyer, and I know United typically uses the ticket rather than the booking to determine FFP eligibility, which would mean no dice. But since I'm trying to credit to AA and not BA, I was curious if anyone has been successful pulling this off.

My second question, is the new flight is a 777 with 17 First seats. Are the First seats identical across the 777 fleet despite having multiple configurations?

Thanks for any information.
There's a 50% chance they will make a mistake and award. I wouldn't rely on it though.
