This is on the assumption that the thief doesn't have the official TSA "tamperproof" stickers.

So I decided to follow the replier above and search the web. Well, I found one online store that's not so pricey and also offers expedited delivery. I was afraid everything would be shipped via USPS and wouldn't make it before my flight.

Spent $50 worth on tamper evident tape (my favorite) and plastic security padlocks -- similar to the ones that are used to secure alcohol and duty-free carts until after take-off. Used 3-day delivery service. Not bad for (some) peace of mind.
