Sent a secure message, they replied asking me to call the Ultimate Rewards Travel line. Called them, they redirected me to chase card services saying they only dealt with bookings and cancellations and not points. The card services folks in turn tried to redirect me to the UR folks, but before they could, I told them I am going around in circles and would like to speak to a supervisor. Explained the whole situation to the supervisor, and he asked if he could put me on hold while he verified things. After about 20 minutes on staying on hold, the call got disconnected.

Overall, I would have got about 342 more UR points, and I don't think it is worth my while to try and get them. Good thing it was a small domestic booking.

Lesson learnt: Never try to make reward-heavy transactions on the last day of the offer.
