My first anniversary with the SPG Amex personal card was this past Dec 2nd, just called now as the $65 AF hit on 12-28. Had appx $3k spend on the card in 2015.
Asked about any offers or ways to offset the AF with Starwood Points or a credit and was only able to get the offer for 500 pts now and 1000 pts later after $1k spend in 60 days.
Was repeatedly told how lucky I was as the AF just went up to $95.
Decided to take the offer as it gets me closer to the bonus transfer threshold I need for AA. So that's that.
