I would say a fairly run off the mill kaiseki experience had it been on the ground. Not outstanding, but nothing bad to say about it either.
Top of the line place does, and with the restrictions placed on airline catering should, far exceed what JAL is serving.
For airline catering, it is very impressive. The one thing with JAL (and ANA) that always amazes me is the rice. The quality of rice they can serve in the air in F is impressive.
Didn't they cook it fresh? So it is expected to be good
