I am Hertz PC and rent approximately 20 weekly rentals a year for work. I recently moved to Jersey City, NJ, so have been renting out of the Jersey City Hertz Local Edition location. Not once since using this location have I received any upgrades, and the last three times, the EZPass did not work in the car (the sign said "Call Svc Cent" everytime I went through a toll. I see nicer cars when I walk to my car each week. Not sure why they keep giving me such crap. Current car is a 2015 Hyundai Elantra. Piece of crap car with 30k+ miles, no backup camera, no bluetooth functionality, and out of windshield washer fluid. Why does Hertz even buy such crappy plasticky basic cars. They are awful to drive.

In comparison, no status at Avis. Rented a one way from EGE-DEN yesterday just for the day. Rented a full size (was the same price as the rest). Received a brand new Lincoln MKS with massaging seats, the full shebang...
