I have to disagree quite strongly on this point. I find Incheon's security process and workers very inefficient. The whole process is slowed down and a great deal of time is wasted because a worker right at the mouth of the x-Ray machine stops the flow of baggage through the machine for each passenger while examining the passenger's BP and passport, and scanning the passport through an automated reader, and asking stupid questions like "are your pockets empty, have you taken out your computer, any liquids," and such. Doing that right at the machine mouth is very inefficient (Narita has a similar process, but Incheon manages to be even slower) and is made all the more so by stopping the flow of baggage through the x-Ray machine while all this stupidity is happening.
As others mentioned, unlike Narita, Incheon does not have any F/J lanes for premium pax. So all the premium pax and others who know what they're doing--know enough to take out computers and the plastic bag of small liquids--are stuck in lines being held up by all this nonsense. It is extremely frustrating to have your time wasted by such an obviously flawed and inefficient process.
This is my biggest negative point for Incheon. It is, indeed, a reason to avoid Incheon as a transit point. The airport authorities and the airlines that stand to lose business from this need to address it.
