What an ordeal! So did they ultimately tag your bag to EWR or to ZFV? What was the bag destination on your claim stub?
The final destination on the claim stub, as well as the bag tag, was listed as ZFV. However, when the bag was checked at YVR, an extra "boarding card" printed out of the machine with clear instructions to claim at EWR to carry to the train.
