1. The "30 Minute" rule for DCA. James Loy said he wanted to get rid of it but it's still in force. "Oh no! You have to go the bathroom! Let's divert!"

2. The ID/boarding card fiesta. How many @#$! times do they have to see it? Guess what folks! My driver's license is not marked with "terrorist" or "non-terrorist." If I show it to enter the concourse, why should I show it again to put my bags on the belt and again at the metal detector?

3. Anything random. Random hasn't worked for drug testing, for US Customs, etc. Even without racial profiling they need to target the passengers who raise eyebrows.

And not technically "rules" but...

4. Pretending to be anything other than airport security. We all konw it primarily serves as a deterrent, so why must they act like they're anything more than Rent-a-Cops?

5. Yelling. Even if there are three people in line, seems that our TSA friends feel compelled to scream things like "Get your laptops out' your bags!" It's so rude, but oops! I forgot, they're the TSA, they can do whatevery they want.
