Hello All!

I have about $225 worth of American Airlines giftcard using the AMEX reimbursement for year 2015. (the extra $25 was when my bag didn't arrive on time).

I am looking to purchase another $200 giftcard for an airline for Year 2016.

However, I was wondering if I should purchase another $200 AA giftcard or pick another airline. What would be the best strategy to determine which airline I should pick for this year?

I am planning on moving to Italy later this month after I get my visa, and I will be living there for a year. However, I do want to take a roundtrip flight ticket back to the US and to Italy again (my parents' home is in Las Vegas) in late June 2916 and back at the end of July 2016. I also would like to travel around Europe too. Any advices or suggestions are appreciated here before I do anything.
