How you can define aspirational rightly varies from person to person. So for the purposes of this thread feel free to make your own definition. Here is how I define it for what it is worth:
- Normally costs hundreds or even thousands of dollars for the lowest available paid cash rate
- Is in a remote location which is incredibly exotic or unique or is in an urban location in the most prime real estate of the city
- Has amenities, features, or activities that most hotels or even luxury hotels don't have
As you post them, please include location, unique features, loyalty program they are affiliated with, and typical cost in USD equivalent and loyalty program currency cost.
One I can think of is the Al Maha Resort in U.A.E. which is available through the Starwood Program for 60,000 SPG points per night (and sometimes for 39,000 per night when on 35% promotion) and usually costs $1,000-$2,000 a night. It is unique in it is situated on an oasis in the middle of the desert on a game reserve and rooms on award booking come with full board (3 meals a day, excluding soft drinks and alcohol), and 2 excursions a day in the desert.
Off-topic: I bought my parents a short-week stay at Al Maha as a Christmas gift, your message is making me feel particularly good about myself
