We've been to both. This coming March will be our third trip to the Andaman.

There's no comparison. The setting in Langkawi is magnificent, the property is surely well above "average", and you can snorkel off the (basically empty) beach.

The Laguna was overrun with loud, underage holiday makers, with little to recommend it in terms of rooms, service, or food options.

We got GOOD platinum recognition at both properties, but would have no interest in returning to The Laguna. We'll be in Bali in March, 2016 as well - so I'm walking the walk.
