I just completed a 5 nights stay at the Andaman and must confess how deeply disappointed I am.
The location, although out of the way, is to me the best thing about the property. It's a gorgeous spot and is just about the only thing I truly enjoyed during my stay.
The hotel is not up to Luxury Collection standards. The room I was assigned was dated and run down. No upgrade for Platinum status. The service is very friendly but the staff needs good training. I experienced many problems due to lack of experience, product knowledge and attention to details.
The food in the different restaurants I tried has been generally good and very good for lunch and dinners. The problem is breakfast. Everything is of low quality and badly displayed, I had the feeling of being in a bad 3* property. Really bad every single day.
To conclude I will never go back there, overpriced for what you get.
