Maybe you should reread my posts, I requested a mileage credit through UA not AV. I "called AV" to ask why the miles did not credit to UA. I did not submit an actual mileage request with AV, sorry if my post did not make that clear. I only called AV at the request of UA rep to see if I could get it straightened out without submitting a mileage request through UA.

I have no issues flying AV and prefer them when I fly to BOG. In addition, it was the only incident I have had with them with respect to mileage credits. I was merely pointing out that when you fly AV or any other carrier based out of LA and you are looking for mileage credit on another airline (e.g., UA), you need to keep your documentation in order because customer service is hit or miss. Sometimes it is outstanding, others it is just horrendous.
