Hi,

Long time lurker but first post.

This morning I got really fed up after waiting an hour and a half for my bags after arriving international at ~4:30am and bags being scanned at EWR 15 minutes after, but bags not arriving at the claim until 6:02. I was also told by a UA worker that it must be a slow day today, even though it just started.

This seems to be a recurring issue for Newark, where anything less than 45 minutes is a miracle. I don't understand why other airports can get bags to the claim so quickly, and at Newark the priority bags can be the last ones to cone out. Oh, also it seems to only be terminal C where it takes so long.

Okay, so now that I've ranted, here are my questions:

Does anybody know why the bags take so long at EWR?
Does anybody else deal with this when claiming bags at Newark?
