Does anybody know if they will provide a transit hotel for long layovers that do NOT involve an overnight stay?

Travelling MUC-PEK-SGN I would be in PEK from around 6am until 9pm on the outbound and from 12:00 to 01:00 on the return. WAY too long to hang around the lounge and I'll be too tired for sight-seeing unfortunately.

My only other experience of free layover hotels was with RJ in AMM where I arrived at 05:00 and departed at 13:00 and there was a hotel arranged there - so maybe it's possible.

I wouldn't mind booking and paying for a room but I'm not sure how easy that would be with it being only for the daytime - IO might have to pay for two night.

Or alternatively, does anybody know if one of the *A lounges at PEK has a decent sleeping area? That would work even better.
