Last week I transited CDG arriving from Moscow. They have now added a checkpoint for security when you enter hall c for departures to the US. There is really no reason for this checkpoint since you are already inside the secure area.
They completely search everh nook and cranny of your already searched carryons bags. So far just one of those silly French things.

Problem is that I am diabetic and take insulin. They took it away and said that the flight captain had to approve me taking it on board the aircraft. They refused to give me a reciept. They also have no name tags on the security people and no one would give me their name.

When the flight checked in one of the Delta agenst walked down to the security area and got the stuff and gave it to me. No involvement with the captain of the flight.

What gives? Is this American Anti War policy or what?

You don't seriously think the French would build an entire security ares just to tease American passengers do you?

If you remember correctly the "shoe bomber" passed through CDG last year so I am happy they are taking security serious there.
