Unhappy Penalty for accidentally missing a flight?

So, this week it happened to me for the first time, I missed a flight. :-(

Underestimated the walking time at Schiphol (25m?) and planned things quite tightly already anyway. Arrived at the gate 13m before departure time at which point the door was closed and they already managed to offload our two bags (which I was once told is how latecomers are sometimes saved). (Strangely there were no last calls for us on the intercom!)

For extra fun that was the day's last flight so we had to leave 7:30 the next morning. But the replacement flight and hotel were fairly cheap thanks to Avios, I won't complain much.

But I wonder, since these delays are expensive to the airline, with having to take off luggage, did they now put me on the naughty list? I've enjoyed two operational upgrades over the last year and half which was pretty neat, I wonder whether I can definitely forget about those now for the rest of a lifetime.

Not that I'll be doing this again. I hate waiting at airports but this was predictably worse!
