Funny, it's my husband who worries about this, and he just makes me carry my bag through our home rather than rolling it. In fact, it's him who carries it.
He obviously considers it easier to carry my bag than to bother cleaning the wheels. As a fairly lazy guy he usually manages to find the simplest way to do things.
