I have to cancel a Chase free night reservation this morning and the agent told me the certificate will be re-deposited back to my account. She also said I can make reservation beyond the expiration date as long as I book the hotel by the expiration date.

This is good news to me but when I looked at the term and condition of the free night certificate, it says ".............stay must be completed within the booking window date shown...".

Was anybody able to reserve and stay later? i certainly do not want to lose my free night if it turns out otherwise. thanks.
