Depends on what you want to pay and location. Both hotels previously mentioned are within a block of each other and on the edge of the pedestrian zone. Both are pretty expensive. For cheaper digs the IBIS Kranzplatz is next door to the Schwarzer Bock and is about half the price, has shower
in place of tub, only serves a continental breakfast.Rates are 62 Euro(49 on Weekend) plus 9 euro for breakfast. IBIS Mauritiusplatz is down an alley at the edge of the Pedestrian Zone on the other side and is 56 euro. Both are around 79 euro during events. I have stayed at both Ibis hotels and the Schwarzer Bock along with the Dorint (not as convenient). If you are planning to see Wiesbaden and possibly the Casino etc. You might as well save the money
at the IBIS Hotels. If you want all kinds of Hotel services the Schwarzer Bock is your best bet.
I was at IBIS Kranzplatz the first part of April 2003 and found it clean and a friendly staff and good value for the money.
All these hotels are on the "yellow" hotel route. The Ramadas and Crowne Plaza are not as convenient as the three above and the Nassauer Hof.
Have a good visit. I would prefer Wiesbaden over Mainz.
