Stay Report - 12/29-12/30
Location: The hotel is located on the A30 about a half mile from Hatton Cross Tube Station. The good news about that is you can walk to Hatton Cross and take to the tube to the airport or to Central London, I did both. The walk is quite easy in fact. There's not much else around, some cargo areas and part of the airport as well as a lot of bus stations.
Hotel: A very nice new construction HGI. There's a large lobby with a restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner and a bar as well as a sundry shop which was closed when I arrived. There's a smallish parking lot too and an area the Hotel Hoppa will pick up from (you can buy tickets at a machine in the lobby).
Check In: Handled very well by the agents on duty. I got my breakfast coupons and had the Wifi explained to me and I got two bottles of water because of my status.
Room: Do note you need your room key to access the elevators in the lobby. The room was a little on the small side (especially the bathroom) but was still quite comfortable. There were outlets near the bed which I found to be somewhat rare in Europe as well as a desk. Sound proofing is not good, I could hear everyone who spoke in the hallways outside.
Breakfast/Other: A way better than normal HGI Breakfast. Full English plus cold cuts, cheese and salmon as well as omelet or eggs your way bar and waffle maker. When I checked out the manager asked if there was anything they could have done to improve my stay and I had to say no, great stay.
Perfect LHR hotel in my opinion, especially at the 64 GBP I paid for the room.
