I know some people have to be in business-class, but I don't think business-class from JFK-CDG -- it's such a short flight -- is worth expending the miles (let alone the cash!), unless it's a super-low, saver-level redemption. If it was me, I'd start no further east than Chicago to ensure I received my money's worth.
Don't forget ATL-CDG and IAD-CDG (and I think MCO-CDG?). Esp. ATL and Florida are certainly long enough to justify J, and IMO IAD is also long enough for J especially if it's an eastbound overnight flight.
