My daughter will be flying from MNL->NRT->JFK (ANA) and then EWR->ATL (United) on January 6, 2016. I purchased the ticket using United Miles for the entire trip in one ticket. We have never done this type of international travel before where you have to change the airport. So, I thought about final destination for the checked-in luggage after I had already purchased the ticket. Then I called United, obviously they said the luggage would arrive at final destination (ATL). However, when I called Nippon airways, they told me that she would have to pick up the luggage at JFK and carry them to EWR by herself.

Could anyone confirm if the operator at Nippon airways was wrong or had interline bag issue with code share partner even if they are all in 1 ticket.
