I guess my question was am I obligated to accept an "invitation of negotiable worth" in order to maintain a contact or help with business? Don't get me wrong, a drink is all fine and dandy, an offer for more makes me question what might be at stake. The problem doesn't exist when there might be mutual interest, but when it is blatent and unexpected, I question the intent.
