I've consistently had it happen both ways (1x & 2x) in the past couple 'o years.

Now here's the weird part.... I am consistently comped @ MLife properties (typically either Aria or Bellagio). So while they run a CC @ check-in, I've not had any folio charges for stays out there in years.
