This report is now 3 days old...when an EY award seat appeared on Sunday, I found the local (India) office closed and the US number quoting 2 hour wait times. Australia had very little wait time, and they were able to change my flight dates without having to cancel/rebook.
I find it hard to believe that EY awards are so numerous that callers would overload the ozzie number one they found out. EY is really a footnote in the AAdvantage universe. More likely, AA has finally realized that they should transfer some of the US calls to less busy call centers (load leveling). Either way, a pity.
And the lack of US to AUH awards continues.
