Once in mainland china, my fellow american collegue ate something purple, that was most certainly not eggplant. The chinese people asked how he liked the purple food...(they spoke very minimal english). He said, "Mmmmmmmmm tastes like sh*t!"...they were all smiles having no idea what he said.

I was in France at a castle, and though I would ordering veal with rice. It turned out to be light pink and wavy. I found out it was cow's stomach..and spent the rest of the evening cutting it up into tiny piece and trying to hide the pieces under other food.
