Why would you expect anything from a HP? it's not really the place or the price point to expect major benefits...

They can give you a decent room (although there's probably not much variety) and maybe a few nice words... but that's about it. You get some bonus points and that's it. Use them for a convenient stay or stay credit... but in general it's a step up from a motel.
