In Indonesia I enjoyed Ular Raja (King Cobra.) I selected it from a cage of live cobras, it was beheaded and the blood was drained into a cup, the blood was mixed with honey and a small amount of whisky, I then drank it while the snake was skinned and skewered and cooked over a fire.
The blood tasted just like blood. The snake meat was rather rubbery and chewy. Not too interesting overall. Made for some great pictures though and a fun memory!
