I was the first who actually reported all business is usual through the AU centre (someone asked me twice what number I dialled and simply said the local number).
You are correct but by saying local number no one would have assumed AU unless they noticed your home airport of CBR (which is how I figured out the "local" number you were referring to was in OZ).
