What's it like to be a Diamond at a Hyatt Place?

I unfortunately have spent many dozens of nights at HPs over the past few years to maintain diamond status and can say that said status has been just about worthless at almost every of these stays. Once I've been upgraded to an actual suite for a one night stay. And maybe twice I was offered a free drink. About 25% of the time I am greeted as a diamond. And about 25% of the time I receive the 500 points. I think the only perk I do actually get consistently is the late checkout, and that's usually because I simply tell them I need a 4pm checkout and if they protest I tell them to talk to their manager because that's when I'll be checking out. The lack of perks annoys me, but the lack of recognition by the employees annoys me even more.
