Just a heads up, since this just happened to me.
I booked a small room at the Macon (GA) Marriott Convention center. They put me in the Convention Center, which is directly connected to the hotel, not in the hotel directly.
If you are not in the physical walls of the hotel, your meeting rewards are points only and not eligible for the 10 nights.
The 225 points i received for a meeting recently was a joke.
Corporate is currently addressing my situation, but the Platinum rep explained this to me. Little known caveat.
