Actually, from my experience AA all-around tends to misrepresent boarding time. I've consistently been late to boarding (as in, they're already boarding group 2 when I arrived) even though I get to the gate right at, or few min before, the posted boarding time of T-30.
Lesson: GAs are under huge pressure to dispatch on time, so they routinely start boarding earlier than posted boarding time.
