Not only can it happen on any route, but when the options are LAX-SFO-TLV, LAX-EWR-TLV, LAX-FRA-TLV, LAX-ZRH-TLV, LAX-YYZ-TLV - you have quite a number of options ALL of which have at least one 8+ hour flight, where *if* there's something annoying, it'll be annoying for a while
With respect, it's not my first rodeo. There is something about detached parenting on that route that I suspect, with no disrespect to anyone, has a correlation to the demographics the passengers. I don't see that on SFO-LHR, LAX-TPE, or many, many of the other long hauls I regularly take.
