The Shanghai JW is very nice and has one of the nicest lounges I've seen. There is a library at the top of the hotel billed as the highest library in the world. And there is a "secret" door to which you can go through and have some of the best Shanghai scenic views anywhere.

I'm not one who craves clubs, but I know there are tons of SPG elites who really do prefer having a club and who will very much appreciate that element with JW Marriott. (StR, Lux Collection, W, Westin and Le Meridien ordinarily do not have clubs, though there are a few conversion exceptions.)
