This is just a notice for the community that Kaligo.com is based in Singapore and any domestic hotel bookings you make through them will incur foreign transaction fee on your US credit card (unless your card waives foreign transaction altogether).

I find this practice quite deceptive because Kaligo quotes all hotel prices in USD for domestic hotels and nowhere through the booking process you're told that the transaction will be initiated in Singapore.

I discovered this when I noticed a small foreign transaction fee on my credit card statement that I never use for foreign transactions.

I would not recommend you use Kaligo.com. Instead stick with US based sites like pountshound.com or rocketmiles.com.

I would use Kaligo again if they made their transactions more transparent.
