If you had been following this discussion you would be infuriated. I haven't gotten any last minute upgrade offers (at check in or gate), but if I recall what I have read, these are not "true" purchased upgrades.

However, the FCM offers I have received, sometimes well in advance of flights, are purchases into G and have certainly received the 50% MQM bonus.
