It is a matter of personal preference. I would have preferred it although I was not provided with this option.
The breakfast buffet it far superior to Club offerings and evening spread is nothing special either. The Club is near the entrance which is a long trek to ocean front while La Cocina is right at ocean front. The staff at Club, however, is excellent. Perhaps you can request to use Club service, check in/out, issues/questions, without drink/food?
